Events and Activities

Our Lady Help of Christians School has enjoyed a gentle and joy-filled Wellbeing Week, providing our students and staff with intentional opportunities to slow down, connect and care for one another.

We began with Meaningful Monday, encouraging students to reflect on what truly matters and to take time for quiet moments of mindfulness and meditation. Time Together Tuesday brought a special sense of community, as students spent time with their buddy classes, building friendships, sharing stories and learning from one another across year levels. Wellbeing Wednesday focused on checking in with ourselves and others, reminding us of the importance of empathy and recognising how those around us may be feeling. On Thankful Thursday, our community took time to pause in gratitude, noticing the many blessings in our lives and expressing appreciation for one another and what we have. We concluded with Fit and Fresh Friday, celebrating movement, healthy choices and the joy of being active together as we started the day with walk safely to school day.

A highlight of the week has been our commitment to 'go slow,' with no homework set this week, allowing families to enjoy more time together. Through mindfulness, meditation and meaningful connection, we have truly lived our theme of shining our GEM. Showing Gratitude, Empathy and Mindfulness each day.
