The week began with a lively stage production of Dear Broccoli, bringing plenty of laughter and excitement to our students. We were also fortunate to join an inspiring online author talk with Sam Thaiday, who shared insights into storytelling, resilience and the importance of following your passions.
Tuesday’s Book Week Parade was a wonderful celebration of favourite characters, creative costumes and a love of reading. It was fantastic to see our students proudly bringing their favourite books and stories to life.
On Wednesday, visiting author Michelle Worthington inspired our students to see themselves as writers and storytellers, sharing her knowledge and passion for the craft of writing.
Thursday brought the opportunity for Buddy Reading in our Nature Play Space, where students enjoyed sharing stories outdoors while building connections across year levels.
To finish the week, Friday’s much-anticipated Literary Ice Creams provided a fun and delicious way to celebrate the end of a wonderful week.
A very big thank you to our incredible staff, students, families, visiting authors and performers who helped make Book Week such a memorable celebration of stories, creativity and the joy of reading.
