Curriculum at OLHC

Australian Curriculum

The Australian Curriculum is being implemented across our school. With the revised Australian Curriculum rolling out from 2023 we will be working to full implementation over the coming years.

School-wide Pedagogies

Consistency is applied across the school in terms of teaching approach to the different curriculum areas. Most curriculum areas require an inquiry focus in teaching and learning. Teachers make learning and success visible to the students via learning intentions, success criteria and timely feedback.

From 2023 Our Lady Help of Christians will be working in Multi-Age classrooms using curriculum bands (more information on the curriculum bands can be found using the Key Learning Areas menu option) as our guide to planning the teaching and learning cycles. These class groupings are:

Prep (2 classes)

Early Years (Three classes of Year 1 and Year 2)

Middle Years (Two classes of Year 3 and Year 4) (2 classes in 2023, 3 classes from 2024 onwards)

Senior Primary (One class of Year 5 and Year 6)
